Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge technology permits your dental practitioner to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns offer unparalleled benefits, value, and accuracy to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process includes 3 basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dentist will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth preparation and maintain more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require 2 office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a wonderfully restored tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and possible risks connected with uncomfortable short-term crowns.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
