Why Choose Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are numerous advantages of single day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions means no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
