Same day crowns are an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. This technology can create full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown device crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no unpleasant impression material to bite on or a short-term crown to wear.

The procedure for placement of a same day crown restoration is extremely simple. The first step is to eliminate all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then form the tooth in preparation to take a digital image. The tooth is then sprayed with a really fine powder. This enables the digital camera to take an acceptable image. When this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will enable the dental practitioner to create the restoration right in front of you.

When the design is finished, the same day crown machine will mill the restoration. This step takes around 15 minutes. You can actually see this process if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the dental practitioner will place the restoration on your tooth.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are multiple ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth considerably. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. Three various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical lightening process. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so easy and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
