Why Choose Single Day Crowns?

There are many advantages of single day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which removes significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions means no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay lovely for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the doctor to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
