Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays a crucial function in our practice. This remarkable innovation in chair side dentistry provides us the tools to develop, produce, and place crowns, inlays and onlays in a single visit.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The standard method to a crown or inlay and onlay typically required a return visit after the patient waited (with a temporary restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was made in a separate lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns employ a special camera to take an precise picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is moved and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist utilizes CAD (computer-aided design) software to develop the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and immediately mills the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire procedure takes about one hour, and there are no irritating temporaries or second appointment needed!

Proven Technology

With twenty years of scientific research study and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have actually proven to be a an efficient, safe and practical technology that we are delighted to offer to our clients.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Porcelain Teeth Veneers

Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with most dental restorations, veneers may someday require replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last years, offering you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is placed over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique typically involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy generally involves 2 visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
