Why Opt For Same Day Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of using same day crown over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, eliminating significant possible pain.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown product and innovation can also be used for fillings. Given that these fillings are constructed out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to fix a severely damaged joint.
