Why You Should Get Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are many benefits of using same day crown over standard crown innovation.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, eliminating significant potential discomfort.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional approach of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Given that these fillings are made out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Topic Is:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a lovely and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like most dental restorations, veneers might someday require replacement; however, they are still extremely resilient and will last years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy usually involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique generally involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is normally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your new and stunning veneers.
