Single Visit Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most advanced dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the second appointment, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling machine that carves the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term as well as a 2nd appointment.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a decision is made as to which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular performance and appearance return and one just carries on as usual. Frequently implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social scenarios, and even your self-confidence.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will usually feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower full denture, we frequently suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for numerous years.
