What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are a number of benefits to having treatment with same day crowns over traditional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single visit, you only need to visit the dentist one time, take one day from your schedule to have the treatment, instead of the usual 2 or three visits.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, since the entire procedure can be performed within an hour you only have to have one injection.

  • Your dental practitioner remains in complete control of the final outcome, because the crown or inlay are designed and fabricated from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have overall control over how it will fit and look.

  • No temporary restorations, which can frequently fall off in between appointments if they are not cared for appropriately.

At our practice we wish to keep your dental health and help you to improve your look. Our skilled and friendly staff takes fantastic pride in keeping your smile lovely.

The items we suggest and use are the best of quality and exceptionally durable.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
