Why Choose Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are numerous advantages of same day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, appeal, and function and carefully match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and tougher because of bonding innovation.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Porcelain Teeth Veneers

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with the majority of dental restorations, veneers may one day need replacement; however, they are still very resilient and will last years, providing you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is positioned over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy normally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy usually involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is usually less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
