What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are multiple benefits to having treatment with same day crowns over conventional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single visit, you just need to visit the dentist one time, take one day from your life to have the procedure, instead of the typical 2 or 3 appointments.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, since the whole procedure can be performed within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist is in complete control of the final outcome, given that the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have total control over how it will fit and look.

  • No short-term restorations, which can frequently fall off between appointments if they are not taken care of appropriately.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, costly procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the physician to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
