Our practice loves brand-new innovations, specifically when it improves the dental care that we can provide to our clients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a wonderful new technology where gorgeous all porcelain crowns are created within 2 hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dental practitioner prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown built. Throughout this time the patient would need to wear a short-term plastic crown that was always uncomfy.

Today, our devices permits us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the patient leaves our practice with the final crown that day!

  • There's no need to have a short-term crown for 2 to 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return again to have the one day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed up once more! No more shot needles!

Our practice likes same day crowns since it is made of beautiful material and also incredibly durable.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is typically made out of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants offer a smile that looks very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability since they fuse to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also discover the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has numerous benefits. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not need to be taken out all the time.
