The Advantages Of Getting Same Day Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It enables you to have your dental crown put in place in just one dental visit.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which imitates the appearance of your natural teeth thus making it visually pleasing. It does not trigger temperature sensitivity which is true when it comes to dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same resilience as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more precise. The impression made from this brand-new innovation is more accurate as compared to standard impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while traditional dental impression is done using sodium alignate.

The only disadvantage of a same day crown is that not all clients are candidates for this treatment. Clients with substantial tooth damage that has actually reached the gum line needs a standard crown rather than a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth requires a laboratory-manufactured crown since they are meticulously made than same day crowns.

If you are interested with this kind of treatment or you have more questions or concerns regarding same day crowns, call us today.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery might be required to repair a terribly damaged joint.
