Our practice loves new technology, especially when it enhances the dental care that we can offer to our clients. Because of this we now offer same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a remarkable brand-new technology where beautiful all porcelain crowns are created within two hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dental practitioner prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to get the crown built. During this time the client would have to have a temporary plastic crown that was normally uncomfortable.

Today, our equipment allows us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the client leaves our office with the final crown that day!

  • There is no need to wear a temporary crown for 2 to 3 weeks.

  • There is no need to return once again to have the single day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed up once again! No more shots!

Our office prefers same day crowns due to the fact that it is made of stunning material as well as extremely durable.

If your thinking about a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Identifying problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to detect:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the doctor to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
