If you have a fractured or damaged tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to remove unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great option for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to patients who would gain from the treatment. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a short-term crown placed then another appointment arranged for the positioning of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new innovation that scans the mouth to get the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and long lasting and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. Sometimes, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you may want to talk about your budget plan as well with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the kinds of crowns available and offer you a recommendation based on your specific scenario.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Fillings

Fillings are done to remove decay, and replace the affected tooth structure. It is called a filling since brand-new material fills the hole that the decay left. Now days most teeth are treated with bonded tooth colored composite resin fillings. Caught early enough, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If not treated, decay can lead to tooth pain and/or infection, and the tooth would need a root canal treatment or extraction.

There are two kinds of fillings; amalgam or silver fillings, and composite or white fillings. Composite fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. Most dentists offer both kinds of fillings, but find that many of their clients like the composite fillings.

The term composite refers to the actual filling material which is a mix of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium.

Composite fillings provide excellent resilience and resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that need to hold up against moderate chewing pressure. Less tooth structure is removed when the dental practitioner prepares the tooth, and this may result in a smaller filling than with of an amalgam.

In addition, composites are "bonded", or adhesively attached, to the tooth, commonly enabling a more conservative repair for the tooth. Composite fillings require that the tooth be kept clean and dry during the entire filling procedure and they are subject to stain and discoloration in time. The life span of a white filling can depend significantly on where it is in your mouth and how heavily your teeth come together when you bite.

Composite filling material is also typically utilized to fix front teeth that have actually broken or worn. Where possible, esthetic bonding of composite material to front teeth is normally much more economical than veneers or crowns. However, bonding typically does not last as long as veneers or crowns.
