Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology enables your dental practitioner to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and position a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and accuracy to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes 3 fundamental steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, he downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable strength, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns require two office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a beautifully restored tooth.

You can avoid the trouble and potential threats associated with uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Is About:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a treatment in which we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or ended up being stained. These are typically minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable methods instead of through a more expensive dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the positioning of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
