What Is So Great About Single Visit Crowns?

In a common dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and often an unpleasant procedure that can take numerous weeks to complete. However, our practice uses same day crown innovation, which enables us to scan, design, and mill stunning tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Picture entering our dental office to get a crown and walking out the same day with a strong, long lasting, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more information!

More About The Same Day Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the treatment and your dentist will address any questions you might have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Dentures (Dental)

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a decision is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Frequently implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is essential to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you are able to eat, your self-esteem in social situations, as well as your self-confidence.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper complete denture will often feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to significantly improve the fit of a lower full denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
