Single Visit Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to create crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most advanced dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have required two visits. The first appointment includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the 2nd appointment, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be completed in just one visit. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term along with a second appointment.

Restorative dentistry treatments can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a lovely and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to most dental restorations, veneers may one day need replacement; however, they are still really long lasting and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method normally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is typically referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique typically involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab fabricated veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
