Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology enables your dental practitioner to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of 3 fundamental steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which develops the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will place it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled toughness, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns need 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a beautifully restored tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and possible risks related to uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to the majority of dental restorations, veneers might one day require replacement; however, they are still very long lasting and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique generally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique typically involves two appointments because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and gorgeous veneers.
