SAME DAY SMILES

If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great option for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface area of the affected tooth, adding sturdiness and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They allow patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a short-term crown placed then another check-up arranged for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to get the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are really strong and long lasting and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may vary between the two and you might want to talk about your budget as well with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the types of crowns available and offer you a recommendation based upon your certain situation.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has been broken or ended up being stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly affordable means instead of through a more costly dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
