Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now typically unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We provide this amazing one-visit crown technology in our office, adding higher convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be carried out in one visit instead of two. The computer collaborates with a wireless digital camera permitting the dentist to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The outcomes we see are incredible. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find issues early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal therapy. As soon as this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even damage the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has actually become infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, pain, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no symptoms are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. When the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is recommended for recovering a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
