If you have a fractured or damaged tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or wish to eliminate unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good choice for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to patients who would gain from the procedure. They enable patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed and then another visit arranged for the placement of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are really strong and resilient and constructed of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be suggested for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you might wish to talk about your budget too with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the types of crowns available and offer you a suggestion based on your particular circumstance.

Today's Discussion Is About:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a treatment in which we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific situations where a tooth has been damaged or ended up being stained. These are typically small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive means rather than through a more pricey dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
