Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge innovation allows your dentist to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer exceptional convenience, value, and accuracy to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process includes three basic steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dentist will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will put it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns require 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.

You can avoid the trouble and possible threats related to ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Is:

Dental Dentures

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made as to which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and appearance return and one simply carries on as usual. Often implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is very important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you are able to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper full denture will usually feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we often recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
