Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an essential role in our practice. This remarkable innovation in chair side dentistry gives us the tools to design, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single visit.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The standard method to a crown or inlay and onlay often needed a return appointment after the client waited (with a temporary restoration in the tooth) for about two weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a different lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM technology eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns employ a unique camera to take an precise image of the broken tooth. This optical impression is moved and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner utilizes CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes control of and immediately mills the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The whole procedure takes about one hour, and there are no frustrating temporaries or 2nd appointment required!

Proven Technology

With 20 years of scientific research and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have shown to be a an reliable, safe and convenient innovation that we are delighted to offer to our patients.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is typically made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically put below the gums over a series of visits, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability because they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfortable than traditional alternatives. Prospects for dental implants should have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What's Involved In Having A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is firmly embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has a number of advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
