Our whole dental practice is state-of-the-art, except for our patient care and issue which is traditional. We understand the pain missing teeth can cause clients, and because of that we are very pleased to be able to provide clients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the adjacent teeth, so they can not be detected by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you are able to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be interfered with. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are an extremely interesting offering of our practice. We have the ability to have you with a beautiful brand-new smile in simply one day. Our office has advanced equipment that allows dental practitioners to supply you with crowns in just a little fraction of the time that was required before.

CAD/CAM innovation is exactly what makes this amazing development possible. The acronym represents computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to restore teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an extra appointment to our practice, a week or two later. We're sure you have far more exciting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you have to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and then send out the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the precise specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. As soon as the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a beautiful and natural-looking appeal. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company occasion, this procedure might indeed be perfect for you. If you are interested in finding out more about this process, call us today for a visit.

Fillings

Fillings are done to remove decay, and replace the afflicted tooth structure. It is called a filling because brand-new material fills the hole that the decay left. Now days most teeth are treated with bonded tooth colored composite resin fillings. Caught early enough, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If not treated, decay can cause tooth pain and/or infection, and the tooth would require a root canal treatment or extraction.

There are 2 kinds of fillings; amalgam or silver fillings, and composite or white fillings. Composite fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. Most dentists supply both types of fillings, however find that a number of their clients like the composite fillings.

The term composite refers to the actual filling material which is a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium.

Composite fillings provide great resilience and resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that need to withstand moderate chewing pressure. Less tooth structure is removed when the dentist prepares the tooth, and this may lead to a smaller sized filling than with of an amalgam.

In addition, composites are "bonded", or adhesively connected, to the tooth, often enabling a more conservative repair for the tooth. Composite fillings require that the tooth be kept clean and dry during the entire filling process and they go through stain and discoloration in time. The life expectancy of a white filling can depend greatly on where it is in your mouth and how heavily your teeth come together when you bite.

Composite filling material is also typically used to repair front teeth that have cracked or worn. Where possible, esthetic bonding of composite material to front teeth is normally much less expensive than veneers or crowns. However, bonding typically does not last as long as veneers or crowns.
