Single Visit Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to dread the time you will have to invest at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we provide a great time-saving option for you. We provide same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate advanced innovations and procedures to offer our patients with the best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely delighted to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is typically made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help reinforce the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely visual reasons, such as to cover a significantly tarnished tooth that has to be brought back to its original, attractive look.

Typically getting a dental crown is a lengthy treatment. The dental practitioner will need to take impressions, provide you with a temporary crown, await the crown to be returned from a laboratory, then have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is in fact milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and remove any need to send out impressions or photos to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, eliminating the need to come back for a second visit.

You also will not need to get a temporary crown, given that our permanent crown will be instantly offered to you.

If you would like to meet our dental practitioner for more information about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like the majority of dental restorations, veneers may at some point need replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last years, offering you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy typically involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique usually involves two appointments because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
