Same Day Crowns - A Smart Innovation

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It permits us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have needed two appointments. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the 2nd visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire treatment can be finished in just one visit. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling machine that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary along with a second appointment.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers may at some point need replacement; however, they are still very durable and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique normally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method usually involves 2 visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is normally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
