Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions means no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain beautiful for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are made out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is typically constructed of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look extremely natural. Surgically put below the gums over a series of appointments, implants fuse to the jawbone and work as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability due to the fact that they fuse to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional replacements. Candidates for dental implants must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has numerous advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
