Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this brand-new technology it permits dentists to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can produce natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can enjoy a dazzling, natural looking, and long lasting option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

First, your dental practitioner will meet with you to talk about the details of the treatment. During the treatment, the dentist will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the picture acts as a map to design your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to produce your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more gorgeous - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is usually made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels extremely natural. Surgically positioned below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability since they fuse to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfortable than traditional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What's Involved In Getting A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has multiple advantages. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the client who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
