Same Day Teeth Restorations
CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.
With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.
CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today We Will Be Going Over:
Temporal-Mandibular Joint
TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.
Problems in this area can cause:
- Earaches.
- Headaches.
- Pain in the jaw muscles.
- Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.
- Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.
- Clicking or popping of the jaw.
Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery might be needed to repair a severely damaged joint.
