Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

If you have any more concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please do not hesitate to contact our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to talk with our dentist face to face.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery might be needed to repair a severely damaged joint.
