What Are Single Visit Crowns?

Same day crowns are a new innovation that a dentist can economically restore damaged teeth in a single appointment using a high-quality ceramic product that matches the natural color of other teeth.

How Does It Work?

Same day crowns use a CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) innovation, incorporating a camera, computer and a milling device in one instrument. The dentist uses a unique camera to take an precise image of the broken tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD innovation to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and immediately creates the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the surface area of the old tooth. The whole process takes about one hour.

Exactly What Does This Technology Mean For A Client?

A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural-looking, suitable with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. Dentists no longer have to create temporaries or take impressions and send them to a laboratory. Because of this, the traditional second appointment has been eliminated. This brand-new technology has more than 10 years of scientific research and documentation to support it. The restorations have actually been proven precise, safe and efficient.

A Lovely Smile!

A stunning smile is one of your greatest assets - a reflection of joy and good health.

The Topic For Today Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Finding issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
