Same Day Crown Restorations
CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.
With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.
CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

- Root Canal Therapy
Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and discover problems early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal treatment. As soon as this happens, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).
By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even damage the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and may be really painful. Symptoms that the pulp has ended up being infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, pain, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue until a checkup.
A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is recommended for restoring a tooth that has actually had root canal therapy.
