IMPLANT IN A DAY

Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns suggested coming into the dental practitioner's office at least two times. The very first check-up included getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a couple of weeks later, a second check-up enabled the temporary crown to be removed and a new permanent crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest innovation to make dental work easier for you and your busy schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown technology to develop ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in just one visit with a little camera to produce a 3D image of the tooth that has to be repaired. This means a physical mold, which is undesirable and time consuming, is no longer needed.

Using CAD/CAM software, We produce a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This innovation can create the brand-new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is connected to your tooth using a bonding product, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so no one will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today to learn more about same day crowns technology, and take care of those problems you might have been postponing.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Detecting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
