Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced innovation allows your dental practitioner to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and accuracy to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of 3 basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dentist will put it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns need two office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and potential risks related to ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are numerous ways to bleach teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple methods: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of daily use. Three various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient whitening process. The appointment is roughly one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients love this treatment because it is so easy and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
