What's So Special About Same Day Crowns?

In a normal dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and typically an uncomfortable process that can take several weeks to complete. However, our practice uses same day crown innovation, which enables us to scan, design, and mill gorgeous tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Imagine entering our dental office to get a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, resilient, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more information!

More About The Same Day Crown Process

During your appointment, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the treatment and your dental practitioner will answer any concerns you may have. Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are usually minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable ways instead of through a more costly dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
