Same Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be requiring a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be starting to fear the time you will have to invest at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we provide a terrific time-saving option for you. We provide same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate cutting edge innovations and treatments to offer our patients with the very best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who need to get dental crowns, we are extremely happy to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is typically made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely visual reasons, such as to cover a severely stained tooth that has to be restored to its initial, attractive look.

Generally getting a dental crown is a prolonged procedure. The dental practitioner will have to take impressions, provide you with a temporary crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a lab, and then have you return to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice clients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are produced in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take photos which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is in fact milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and eliminate any need to send impressions or pictures to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not have to get a crown, given that our long-term crown will be immediately available to you.

If you would like to meet with our dentist to get more information about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific scenarios where a tooth has been damaged or ended up being stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly affordable ways rather than through a more costly dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
