What Are Single Visit Dental Crowns?

Same day crowns are a new innovation that a dental practitioner can economically bring back damaged teeth in a single appointment using a high-quality ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth.

How Does It Work?

Same day crowns use a CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) innovation, incorporating a camera, computer and a milling device in one instrument. The dental practitioner uses a unique camera to take an precise image of the broken tooth. This optical impression is downloaded and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD innovation to develop the restoration. Then CAM takes over and instantly produces the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the dental practitioner bonds the brand-new restoration to the surface area of the old tooth. The entire procedure takes about one hour.

What Does This Technology Mean For A Client?

A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural-looking, suitable with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. Dental practitioners no longer need to produce temporaries or take impressions and send them to a laboratory. Because of this, the standard second appointment has been removed. This brand-new innovation has more than 10 years of scientific research and documentation to support it. The restorations have been proven precise, safe and effective.

A Beautiful Smile!

A stunning smile is one of your biggest possessions - a reflection of joy and good health.

The Discussion Of The Day Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Finding issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
