If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or wish to get rid of unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface area of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would gain from the procedure. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed then another appointment scheduled for the positioning of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and long lasting and constructed of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may vary between the two and you might want to talk about your budget plan too with the your dentist. Your dentist will go over with you the kinds of crowns available and give you a recommendation based on your particular scenario.

Call us to set up a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Today's Subject Is:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like a lot of dental restorations, veneers might at some point require replacement; however, they are still very durable and will last years, offering you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique normally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique normally involves 2 visits because the veneers will be made at a dental laboratory. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
