What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over traditional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single appointment, you only have to see the dental practitioner once, take one day away from your life to have the treatment, instead of the usual 2 or 3 appointments.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, given that the entire treatment can be carried out within an hour you just have to have one injection.

  • Your dental practitioner is in complete control of the final outcome, given that the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dentist, they have total control over how it will fit and look.

  • No temporary restorations, which can frequently fall off between appointments if they are not cared for correctly.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Ultra Sonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with sensitive teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits then polished.
