At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may be asking, what are same day crowns and exactly what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have now been using this innovation for multiple years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that enables us to fix broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you remain in the practice, in just one appointment. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single appointment, typically in about an hour.

So what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the way the teeth bite together first. We remove the old filling, and decay and any thin weak tooth material and scan the readied tooth.

After this we stop working in the mouth and start working on the computer.

Everybody likes seeing the pictures of their teeth and the developing of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this information is sent to the milling unit.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth is not built up layer by layer, it is cut back from a block in the device, which is much more durable.

The block is then precisely sculpted to produce your new restoration, which is fantastic.

At last, the customized crown restoration bonded effortlessly into the tooth, strengthening and sealing it at the same time and after that we tidy up!

We have to make certain that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today We Will Be Reviewing:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has been damaged or become stained. These are normally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable methods rather than through a more expensive dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a shiny finish as a last step.
