SAME DAY DENTAL APPOINTMENTS

Updated On Sunday, March 24, 2019 08:59:26 PM

Our practice likes brand-new technology, particularly when it improves the dental care that we can offer to our clients. Because of this we now offer same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a wonderful new innovation where stunning all porcelain crowns are produced within two hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dental practitioner prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to get the crown built. During this time the patient would need to have a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfortable.

Today, our devices enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the client leaves our office with the final crown that day!

  • There is no need to wear a temporary crown for 2 or 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return again to have the single day crown inserted on your tooth.

  • There's no need to be numbed up again! No more shots!

Our office chooses same day crowns because it is made of lovely material and also incredibly long lasting.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

The Discussion Of The Day Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a huge format for easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
