SAME DAY DENTAL APPOINTMENTS

Updated On Sunday, June 24, 2018 03:52:38 PM

Same day crowns are a dental restoration device that allows a dentist to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted technologies, including 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns enables dentists the versatility to fix teeth in a single sitting with a client, rather than the numerous appointments needed with other techniques!

Same day crowns have actually been shown by numerous medical studies and is offered by countless dental practitioners to millions of patients around the globe each year!

Same day crowns not just saves you time and money, it can also save your teeth!

Dental X-rays are not able to penetrate metal crowns, making any decay undetected until it was far too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This means any decay below the restoration can be discovered and fixed before it becomes a big problem.

Because same day crown innovation use a milling device to mill the ceramic into your custom restoration, the porcelain is more durable than those developed by hand. And, the computer-assisted technology can develop an nearly identical restoration of the previous tooth.

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
