ONE DAY DENTAL WORK
MONROE TWP NEW JERSEY

At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may be asking, what are same day crowns and what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have actually now been using this technology for many years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that enables us to replace damaged or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you remain in the practice, in just one appointment. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that feel and look like natural teeth can be made and placed in a single visit, normally in about an hour.

So exactly what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We remove the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth material and scan the readied tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and begin working on the computer.

Everybody enjoys seeing the pictures of their teeth and the creating of their new tooth. We make 3D design and this information is sent to the milling device.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth isn't built up layer by layer, it is cut back from a block in the machine, which is much more durable.

The block is then exactly sculpted to produce your new restoration, which is wonderful.

Finally, the custom made crown restoration bonded effortlessly into the tooth, strengthening and sealing it at the same time and after that we clean up!

We need to ensure that you can bite properly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Detecting issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
