Why Choose Single Visit Dental Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of single day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No standard impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new innovation restores your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

If you have anymore concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please don't hesitate to contact our office today. We will answer any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to speak with our dentist personally.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today Were Talking About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Detecting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
