Same day crowns are a dental restoration innovation that permits a dentist to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted innovations, including 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns allows dental practitioners the flexibility to restore teeth in a single sitting with a patient, instead of the several appointments required with other methods!

Same day crowns have actually been shown by numerous medical research studies and is offered by thousands of dental practitioners to countless patients around the globe each year!

Same day crowns not just conserves you time and money, it can also conserve your teeth!

Dental X-rays are unable to penetrate metal crowns, making any degeneration undetected till it was far too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This means any decay underneath the restoration can be discovered and fixed before it becomes a major issue.

Because same day crown technology use a milling device to mill the ceramic into your customized restoration, the porcelain is stronger than those created by hand. And, the computer-assisted technology can create an almost identical restoration of the previous tooth.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment in which we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive means rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
