Single Visit Crowns - A Smart Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to create crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have needed 2 appointments. The first appointment includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the 2nd visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be completed in simply one visit. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a temporary in addition to a 2nd appointment.

Restorative dentistry treatments can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a very thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to a lot of dental restorations, veneers might someday need replacement; however, they are still really resilient and will last many years, giving you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method typically involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy normally involves two visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care instructions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and gorgeous veneers.
