Updated On Sunday, January 20, 2019 01:18:25 AM

If you have a fractured or damaged tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to eliminate unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a temporary crown placed then another check-up arranged for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to get the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and durable and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may differ between the two and you may wish to talk about your budget plan as well with the your dentist. Your dentist will discuss with you the types of crowns available and give you a suggestion based upon your certain circumstance.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Today Were Talking About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will whiten teeth considerably. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of techniques: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and hassle-free bleaching procedure. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment since it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
