If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the humiliation and discomfort this can trigger. You have most likely been examining ways you can restore your smile and good bite. We think you will be extremely interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to get same day crowns! It is a comfy one-day procedure!

Our whole dental practice is state-of-the-art, except for our patient care and issue which is standard. We understand the discomfort missing teeth can cause clients, and therefore we are really happy to be able to supply patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the surrounding teeth, so they can not be discovered by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be interrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it is there in your mouth.

Same day crowns are an extremely exciting offering of our practice. We have the ability to provide you with a gorgeous brand-new smile in simply one day. Our office has cutting edge devices that permits dental practitioners to supply you with crowns in just a little portion of the time that was needed in the past.

CAD/CAM innovation is what makes this exciting development possible. The acronym stands for computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an extra visit to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have far more exciting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dentist's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our brand-new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and then send out the details to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the specific specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we place it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking luster. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company occasion, this process may indeed be ideal for you. If you have an interest in learning more about this procedure, contact us today for an appointment.

Today's Topic Is:

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an excellent method to replace missing teeth.

There are multiple types of bridges. We will discuss the best options for your certain case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is normally made of porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular because they resemble your natural teeth. This kind of bridge consists of 2 crowns that go over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are attached on either side of the artificial teeth (pontics), filling the space created by multiple missing teeth.

Dental bridges are extremely resilient and will last years with correct home care; however, they might need to be replaced or re-cemented due to regular wear.

A Few Reasons For Considering Getting A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking ability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill space of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a detachable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

Exactly what does getting a Fixed Bridge include?

Getting a bridge usually needs two or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by removing a portion of enamel to allow for a crown. Next, a highly accurate impression (mold) is made which will be sent out to a dental lab where the bridge will be made. In addition, a temporary bridge will be made and worn for numerous weeks until your next appointment.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be carefully checked, adjusted, and cemented to achieve a appropriate fit and comfortable bite.

You will receive care directions at the conclusion of your treatment. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new permanent bridge.

Why You Should Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the space created by a missing tooth. It is formed to resemble the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for support, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an exact science. The materials used might be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The choice of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is necessary that a missing tooth be replaced as quickly as possible for numerous reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the space begin to move inward, creating an entire domino effect of bad things. Teeth use their neighbors for support, and, with one missing, they begin to "fall." As this intensifies the bite changes in response to the pressure. This can eventually lead to problems with the entire jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth degrade and it is just a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease ends up being a severe issue, with the difficulty of treatment enhancing as the neglect continues.
