What Are Single Visit Crowns?

It is a innovation for restoring broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material and works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the treatment and your dentist will answer any questions you may have relating to the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the new proprietary software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's suitable form and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Today's Topic Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many clients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and hassle-free whitening procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
