Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an important function in our practice. This remarkable development in chair side dentistry offers us the tools to design, produce, and place crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The conventional method to a crown or inlay and onlay frequently needed a return visit after the patient waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about two weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a different lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns employ a unique camera to take an accurate image of the broken tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to design the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes control of and immediately mills the restoration while the patient waits. At last, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The whole process takes about one hour, and there are no irritating temporaries or second appointment needed!

Proven Technology

With 20 years of clinical research study and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have actually shown to be a an effective, safe and practical technology that we are delighted to offer to our patients.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Subject Is:

Ultra Sonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microbes and getting rid of plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help preserve optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning appropriate to those with sensitive teeth.

  • The cleaning process is much faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
