If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the humiliation and pain this can cause. You have most likely been investigating methods you can restore your smile and good bite. We think you will be extremely interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to receive same day crowns! It is a comfortable one-day procedure!

Our entire dental practice is state-of-the-art, except for our patient care and concern which is standard. We understand the discomfort missing teeth can cause clients, and because of that we are extremely happy to be able to offer clients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to strengthen a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the adjacent teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you are able to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never ever be interrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are an extremely exciting offering of our practice. We have the ability to provide you with a lovely new smile in just one day. Our office has cutting edge devices that allows dental practitioners to supply you with crowns in simply a small fraction of the time that was needed in the past.

CAD/CAM innovation is what makes this interesting advancement possible. The acronym means computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this technology in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an extra visit to our practice, a week or two later. We're sure you have a lot more exciting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dentist's chair any longer than you have to!

Using our new system, we scan the readied tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and then send out the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the specific specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. As soon as the crown is crated, we position it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a beautiful and natural-looking luster. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company event, this procedure may indeed be ideal for you. If you have an interest in learning more about this procedure, call us today for an appointment.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today We Will Be Reviewing:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery may be required to repair a terribly damaged joint.
