Crowns have long been an effective restorative dentistry solution for dental practitioners to take advantage of, but the traditional crown process takes a couple of appointments to finish.

At our practice, though, our dentists and our team can restore broken down teeth in simply a single appointment with same-day crowns. Same day crowns use sophisticated technology to make the crown preparation procedure easier, while the same day crown device actually mills restorations itself using the info we've already gathered to create the customized restoration you need.

The milling process takes about an hour to complete and can be done while you rest comfortably in our office.

Our restorative dentistry team is ready to invigorate your smile and better your lifestyle. Using any of these restorative dentistry services alone or in combination with each other or another service, we prepared to help you to achieve optimum dental health. Today's Topic Is About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most clients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth considerably. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple approaches: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and convenient lightening procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment because it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
