Too busy for the normal two dental visit crown?

Technology today is altering our everyday lives. Many people, however, aren't aware that technology also is affecting dentistry in new and amazing methods.

Cutting-edge developments in dental instruments are requiring less time in the dental chair, triggering less pain and developing rewarding results.

One development instrument, called same day crowns, allow dental practitioners to quickly restore damaged teeth with natural-colored ceramic fillings, saving clients time and trouble.

What are Same Day Crowns?

Same day crowns, indicates that a dental practitioner can quickly fix damaged teeth in a single appointment using a top quality ceramic product that matches the natural color of other teeth.

How does it work?

Same day crowns use CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology, including a camera, computer, and milling device in one instrument.

The dentist utilizes a unique camera to take a precise photo of the broken tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD innovation to create the restoration. The CAM takes over and automatically develops the restoration while the patient waits.

Finally, the dental practitioner bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth. The entire procedure takes about 2 hours.

Exactly what does this development do for a client?

A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings tarnishing smiles. The filling is natural-looking, compatible with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant.

Dentists don't need to create temporaries or take impressions and send them to a lab. Because of this, the conventional 2nd visit has been removed.

Same day crowns have two decades of medical research study and paperwork to support the innovation. The restorations have been shown accurate, safe and reliable.

How can I learn if this is an option for me?

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

UltraSonic Teeth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for many adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners develop microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microorganisms and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with sensitive teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
